Library Reception and Panel Discussion
Kicks Off Black History Month
A reception in the foyer of the GG building at PCC from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28 will celebrate the opening of Black Invention, a poster exhibit of Black Inventors created by LBCC Art Instructor Deon Reid, and the beginning of Black History Month.
These events are part of the LIVE @ your library initiative of the American Library Association, with major support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Wallace-reader's Digest Funds, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as well as the LBCC Foundation.
A panel discussion featuring Professor Reid, PCC Librarian Marion Flowers Hinton, Counseling Department Head Debra Peterson, and Professor of History Melvin Ross will follow in Dyer Hall from 1 to 2 p.m.
