A New Look for the Library’s Web Pages

The library home page and its related links to information about library collections and services recently launched an improved and more functional design. The new pages use a “template” (color scheme, layout, and consistency) that mirrors the web pages of the college and a growing number of its divisions. “The library has adopted the campus template as the basis for its pages to makes it easier for current and prospective students to locate the information they need, and to navigate seamlessly among and within the college’s other academic and support services,” said Monica White, Librarian and architect of the library web site. “Usability and accessibility for the library’s customers are very important issues, and we believe the new design will offer better, more intuitive ways to identify, locate and retrieve the information that students need.
