Good things
happen when LBCC faculty bring their classes to the library to meet
with a librarian. Students discover how to make the best use of
the library's information resources, both its physical collection
and its "virtual" one-the extensive array of electronic
databases that the library subscribes to and that can be accessed
"anytime/anywhere."
For fall, 2004 a new
scheduling program is in effect, designed to reach more students
by being more convenient for instructional faculty. Here are the
guidelines:
- Schedule requested
dates two or more weeks in advance
- Librarians are available
to meet with classes at LAC:
- between 7:15 a.m.
and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- between 7:15 a.m.
and 3 p.m. on Friday
- between 10:15
a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday
Check with PCC Library
(x3028) for orientation hours at that site.
- At LAC, classes normally
will meet in L 208 (Open Access Lab, 2nd floor)
- Requests for an orientation
may be made by phone (x 4853 for LAC, x 3028 for PCC) or using
the online form available at the library home page (http://lib.lbcc.edu/)
click on "Services for Faculty.
