The Library Instructional Media desk at LAC Library, like other support units at both campuses, has been challenged to maintain services in the face of continuing reductions in staffing. Although the desk normally is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, there may be days and times when service will be suspended due to unavailability of staff. When this occurs the expected time for resumption of service will be posted at the desk. To avoid problems that could arise from this situation, Library Instructional Media customers are strongly encouraged to place orders for video materials in advance of the show date. Advance order items will be available for pickup at the service desk the day before the first show date, or on the first show date. If the desk should be closed, inquire at the neighboring Periodicals desk or at the Circulation Desk, and staff there can retrieve your scheduled video.
