Student in Reference Room

The Reference Desk, also known as the Library Information Desk, is located near the front entrance of Building L at the Liberal Arts Ccampus Library and on the top floor of Building GG at the Pacific Coast Campus Library.

Reference librarians are skilled in finding materials in the collections and online and are eager to help you begin your research, and learn how to use the collections and Library Web tools.

The Reference Area is located near the Reference Desk. Reference materials may not be checked out; they must be used on site. These materials include dictionaries, indexes, encyclopedias, atlases, guides, biographical dictionaries, and other materials that many people need to use. Because they are in high demand and are referenced for basic information, they are kept together for all to find more easily.

Whenever the Library is open, there is always at least one librarian on duty to provide in-person assistance.
